Visit of French Chief of Defence Staff, Admiral Edouard Guillaud
From 16th to 19th October 2010
Admiral Edouard Guillaud, French Chief of Defence Staff, was on a four-day visit to India from 16th to 19th October 2010 on an official invitation extended by the Indian authorities.
In the course of his stay in Delhi, Admiral Guillaud held meetings with his counterpart Air Chief Marshal P.V. Naik, Chief of Air Staff and Chairman of the Chiefs of Staff Committee, Admiral N.K. Verma, Chief of Naval Staff, and General V.K. Singh, Chief of Army staff.
Admiral Guillaud also held high-level meetings with Indian officials, including Shri Shivshankar Menon, National Security Advisor.
The Chief of Defence Staff also met, in Mumbai, Vice-Admiral Bhasin, Western Naval Commander and visited the shipyard of Mazagon Dock Limited.
