France launches the Francophonie Festival for the 19th Francophonie Summit
On 4 and 5 October 2024, the representatives of more than 100 States and Governments will take part in the 19th Francophonie Summit in Villers-Cotterêts. To celebrate this year of pride in the French language, as well as International Francophonie Day on 20 March, the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs is launching the Francophonie Festival, “Making a Better World”, and the #SingInFrench competition on social media.

One Planet - Polar Summit: The first Summit devoted to the preservation of glaciers and poles
Hosted by the Paris Peace Forum, The One Planet - Polar Summit is being held from 8 to 10 November 2023 in Paris. This first international Summit devoted to glaciers and poles aims to strengthen international cooperation to preserve the cryosphere and glacial and polar biodiversity. The major representatives of the international scientific community along with political leaders and representatives, including French President Emmanuel Macron, are to attend.
