Visit of French Minister for Women’s Rights to India, 25-28 October 2013
In continuity with the State visit of the President of the French Republic (14-15 February 2013), Ms Najat Vallaud-Belkacem, Hon’ble Cabinet Minister for Women’s Rights and Spokesperson of the French Government, came on a four-day visit to India from 25 to 28 October 2013. This has been an opportunity to initiate an Indo-French dialogue on a range of social matters.

Visit of Jean-Yves Le Drian, French Minister of Defence, 25-27 July 2013
At the invitation of the Hon’ble Minister of Defence, Shri A.K Antony, the French Minister of Defence, H.E. Mr Jean-Yves Le Drian, will pay his second visit to India, from 25th to 27th July, 2013, with stops in Delhi and Gwalior. This visit is a follow-up of the State visit of the President of the French Republic, H.E. Mr François Hollande, in February 2013, and will be an opportunity to demonstrate the importance France attaches to partnering with India, as well as the Indian army.

On Monday, 8 July 2013, the President of the French Republic met the participants of the Sixth Indo-French CEOs Forum at the Elysee Palace.

French Minister Laurent Fabius meets Ranjan Mathai, Indian Foreign Secretary
Mr Laurent Fabius, French Minister of Foreign Affairs, met Mr Ranjan Mathai, Foreign Secretary - Indian Ministry of External Affairs, on the occasion of the annual Indo-French Foreign Office consultations, co-chaired by Mr Pierre Sellal, Secretary General - French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and his Indian counterpart, on June 17th.
These consultations reaffirmed the excellent Indo-French relations, based on a strategic partnership, the great importance of which was recalled by the President of the French Republic during his State visit to India on 14-15 February 2013.

Meeting of the President with Mr Salman Khurshid, 11 January 2013
The President of the French Republic met the Indian Minister of External Affairs, Mr Salman Khurshid, on 11th January 2013. This meeting came in the context of preparing for the visit that the President of the French Republic will soon undertake in India.
They reviewed the salient aspects of the bilateral relationship between France and India and raised major regional issues. They agreed to strengthen our political consultations on crises, particularly those on the agenda of the United Nations Security Council.

Meeting of Laurent Fabius with Salman Khurshid, 10 January 2013
Laurent Fabius, French Minister of Foreign Affairs, received the Minister of External Affairs of India, Salman Khurshid, on 10 January.
This is the first visit made to France by a Minister of External Affairs of India since 2001. Mr Khurshid will be received by the President of the French Republic on 11 January.
This dialogue forms part of the strategic partnership between our two countries, to which the President of the French Republic and the Prime Minister of India, Dr Manmohan Singh, reaffirmed their attachment during their bilateral meeting on the margins of the Los Cabos G20 Summit on 20 June 2012.
