EDHEC Business School and the Embassy of France in India hosted a pre-departure ceremony for over 30 Indian students on 1st July 2015 at the Residence of France. These students will be traveling to France to study at EDHEC, one of France’s top business schools.

In attendance at this special event were Mr François Vandeville, Cultural Counsellor and Director of the Institut Français in India, as well as Ms Sonia Gastaud, Deputy Head of International Admissions at EDHEC.

In a separate event that took place in Mumbai on 20th July 2015, Ms Shriya Balumur was granted this prestigious scholarship for the academic year 2015-16. She stood out over other candidates because of her academic excellence, can-do attitude and impressive accomplishments. She was felicitated by Mr André Ruche, Deputy Consul at the Mumbai Consulate. The EDHEC and Embassy of France in India co-financed scholarship was established in 2014 and is awarded to Indian students with excellent academic records who meet admissions qualifications for EDHEC’s MSc programmes, including specialisations in Marketing Management, International Accounting & Finance, and Strategy & Organisation Consultancy, among others. The value of the scholarship is roughly 21,500 euros and includes health and medical coverage and access to student housing.

The Eiffel Excellence Scholarship Programme was established by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Development to enable French higher education establishments to attract top foreign students to enrol in their Master’s and PhD courses.
