A 65+ members delegation led by GIFAS visits Hyderabad and Bangalore
The French Aerospace Industry Association GIFAS (Groupement des Industries Françaises Aéronautiques et Spatiales) visited Hyderabad and Bangalore from 8th to 10th October. The association was accompanied by 65 member-companies, some of them with existing presence in the Indian market, other exploring the potential of expansion into the country.
The tour began in Delhi on 7th and continued with a more focused industry visit at various aeronautic and aerospace sites in Hyderabad and Bangalore. This was balanced with a reception in each city to announce the presence of this big delegation to government officials. This session, of course, gave each Telangana and Karnataka a chance to pitch on the investment opportunities and success stories to invite the French firms to consider a presence in their respective states.
In the backdrop of this 5-day visit, GIFAS and FICCI (Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry) signed a Memorendum of Understanding to join their forces in developing the cooperation between France and India in the field of civil aeronautics.
