The Consul General
Born in 1968, François Gautier holds two Masters degrees - one in Political Science from the Institut d’Etudes Politiques, Paris, and the other in Finance from University Paris Dauphine.
Mr. Gautier started his career in the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1992 in the French Embassy in Tunisia. He returned to Paris on an assignment in the Department overseeing Africa and the Indian Ocean. He was next given the responsibility of First Secretary at the French Embassy in Kinshasa.
From 2004 to 2009, Mr Gautier worked in the Paris office of the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs in various capacities .
In 2009 he was appointed as Diplomatic Advisor of the President of the Senate at the French Senate for a period of two years.
From 2011 to 2015, Mr Gautier was the Deputy Head of Mission at the French Embassy in Abu Dhabi.
Since 1st September 2015, Mr François Gautier has taken up his assignment as Consul General of France in Bangalore (with a consular Jurisdiction over the states of Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana).
