Ambassador Emmanuel Lenain’s interview to CNN-News18

Following the recent terrorist attacks in France and in Vienna, Ambassador Emmanuel Lenain gave an interview to CNN News18 during which he thanked the Indian authorities for their support and solidarity, and reaffirmed France and Europe’s determination to defend our shared democratic values and stand united in the fight against terrorism. In this context, Ambassador Lenain recalled that anti-terrorism cooperation is a major pillar of Indo-French relations and takes place at the operational level between the two countries’ special ops units, in multilateral fora such as the United Nations Security Council, and in the framework of initiatives such as the “No Money for Terror” international conference.
During this interview, Ambassador Lenain also highlighted the results of Foreign Secretary Harsh Shringla’s official visit to Paris on October 30th, which particularly focused on Indo-French cooperation in the Indo-Pacific and the United Nations Security Council.
