Travelling to France

After the dramatic events in Paris, the French authorities have taken strong measures. Further identity checks and strengthened presence of the security forces, in particular, reassure tourists and professionals.

Beyond that, France remains a welcoming destination with unique attractions and assets. Tourists have confirmed their trips to France over the last weeks.

The French hospitality was recently illustrated by the accommodation in Paris, without incident, of 150 heads of state and government as well as 40 000 foreign delegates during the International Conference on climate change (COP21) from 30 November to 12 December 2015.
