New Delhi, 4 October 2017

Mr Philippe Etienne, Diplomatic Advisor to the President of the French Republic, visited India on 4th October 2017 to hold consultations with his counterpart for the India-France Strategic Dialogue, Shri Ajit Doval, National Security Advisor to the Prime Minister of India. They reviewed Indo-French bilateral relations, particularly the pillars of the strategic partnership, and major international issues.

During the course of his visit, Mr Philippe Etienne called on the Hon’ble Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi. He also held meetings with Smt Sushma Swaraj, Hon’ble Minister of External Affairs, and Smt Nirmala Sitharaman, Hon’ble Minister of Defence. On this occasion, he discussed, inter alia, President Emmanuel Macron’s visit to India in December this year.
