Visit of Mr. Dominique Bussereau, May (12-14), 2008
Mr. Dominique Bussereau, Hon’ble Minister of State for Transport, is in India from 12th -14th May 2008. The focus of his visit is the strengthening of bilateral partnership between India and France in the area of transport.
On 13th May he was in Mumbai, where he met the Hon’ble Minister for Civil Aviation, Shri Praful Patel with Mr. Reghu Menon, President, National Aviation Company of India Ltd (NACIL, Air India) followed by a meeting with Hon’ble Minister for Transport of Maharashtra, Shri Dharmaraobaba Atram.
On 14th May, in Delhi, he met Mrs. Shiela Dikshit, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Delhi, Hon’ble Minister of State for Railways Shri Naranbhai Rathwa and the Railway Board Chairman, Shri K.C. Jena. He also met the CEOs of a few Delhi-based French companies from the transport sector.
During the visit, Mr. Dominique Bussereau addressed a conference hosted by the FICCI on the theme of “India-France: Innovative Solutions for Transport Projects”. On this occasion, he signed an agreement drawn up between the French railways company, SNCF International and Indian Railways.
