The French Ciné Hub

The French Ciné Hub, organised in association with Indo-French Hub, Institut Français and The AITF, was inaugurated on Saturday, the 9th of September, 2017.

The main reason for organizing this ciné hub is to help french teachers and enthusiasts come together and learn more about french culture through movie screening followed by a general discussion.

The chief guest was Mr. Rahul Vohra, awardee of the prestigious Chevalier de l’Ordre des arts et des lettres. He talked about his experience in the Indian and French cinema industry and officially declared the Ciné Hub open.

The ciné club was inaugurated (in French with English subtitles) with "Les Mariées de l’an Deux" from Jean-Paul Rappeneau (director of Cyrano de Bergerac) who introduced the movie himself through a phone conversation. The audience later had an opportunity to share their views and opinions about the film and the period it is set in, the French Revolution.

The Partners look forward to organising more screenings once every 2 month in different parts of Mumbai, making it accessible for all enthusiasts.
