Seminar on art in public spaces - Hyderabad
Communauté Urbaine de Bordeaux, known since 1st January 2015 as Bordeaux Métropole, is developing close ties with the city of Hyderabad, Telangana.
A Volunteer for International Solidarity representing Bordeaux Métropole is based in the Alliance Française de Hyderabad and coordinates the implementation of cooperation projects between both metropolis.
One of the areas of cooperation is in the fields of culture and achitecture. During the last visit of a delegation from Bordeaux Métropole in November 2014, the Indian authorities showed a keen interest in the projects undertaken in Bordeaux, namely to develop art in public spaces integrated in the project of tramway.
In order to further enhance this collaboration, in the fields of art, architecture and urban space, the government of Telangana organised a 2-day seminar, on 9th and 10th April, in order to encourage art in public space in Hyderabad.
A delegation of four members of the Bordeaux Métropole participated at this seminar along with Mr Eric Lavertu, Consul General of France, and Mr Jean-Manue Duhaut, Director of the Alliance Française de Hyderabad.
