Pierre Gattaz leads 45-member French delegation
Mr Pierre Gattaz, Head of MEDEF (French federation of entrepreneurs) leading 45-member delegation of French companies is on a four-day India visit to strengthen Indo-French economic cooperation.
Mr Pierre Gattaz, Head of MEDEF (French federation of entrepreneurs) and Chairman of the Radiall Board, is in India on a four-day tour covering Delhi-NCR, Mumbai and Bengaluru. Aiming to explore opportunities for boosting economic relations between France and India, Mr Gattaz is leading a delegation of 45 French companies of all sizes and from all sectors of activity (ranging from transport and logistics, port and shipping, energy and environment, construction and infrastructure, digital sector, bank and insurance, to legal services).
In Bengaluru (28th September), the last leg of his tour, Mr Pierre Gattaz was received by Shri Priyanka Kharge, Hon’ble Minister of State for IT, Biotechnology, Science & Technology and tourism. He also held meetings with IT majors CapGemini, Wipro and Infosys.
With the aim of gaining insights into the incubator ecosystem in India, he visited NUMA, a leading innovation hub, and Airbus Bizlab, the global aerospace accelerator. He also met TeamIndus, the only Indian team competing for the Google Lunar XPRIZE, a global competition for engineers and entrepreneurs to develop low-cost methods of robotic space exploration. The French Space Agency (CNES) is providing micro-cameras with patented technology suited to a range of space missions to TeamIndus, which is designing an all-terrain rover by end-2017 for this lunar mission.
