Participation from France at the India Aviation 2014
The 4th edition of the Hyderabad international air show takes place from 12th to 16th March at Begumpet Airport. The 5-day expo is expected to be attended by more than 250 exhibitors from 18 countries, including Airbus, Boeing, Bombardier, Dassault and Rolls Royce besides the French Ambassador Francois Richier, US trade and development agency Director Leocadia Zak and central and state government officials.
The show, with the theme ’Enhancing Air Connectivity’ is being jointly organised by the aviation ministry and industry body FICCI at the Begumpet airport and is inaugurated by Aviation Minister Ajit Sing. Andhra Pradesh Governor E S L Narasimhan is the Chief Guest at the opening ceremony.
As many as 18 aircraft including world’s largest passenger airliner Airbus A380 and the Boeing 787 Dreamliner will be on static display at this edition of India Aviation. While Emirates will showcase their in-service A380, Air India will bring the Dreamliner. There are 12 chalets and 200 stalls covering 20000 square meters.
India, which is the 9th largest aviation market in the world with nearly 400 functional aircraft, is projected to become the third largest by 2020 with the number of aircraft expected to touch 1000 mark.
Karnataka is the focus state while the US is the partner country this year.

The French Trade Commission - Ubifrance is organising the visit of a delegation comprised of 3 aerospace clusters (AEROSPACE VALLEY, PEGASE et ASTECH) and of 7 French SMEs representing a wide range of activities: engineering and IT services, manufacturing, training and certification. The representatives of the French clusters and French companies would interact with their Indian counterparts to get a better understanding of the aerospace sector in India and to build contacts with potential industrial, research or commercial partners.
This delegation had earlier done a tour in Bangalore on 10th and 11th March 2014. It visited Hindustan Aeronautics Limited and the new production facility of Wipro in the Devanahalli aerospace SEZ in Bangalore. Each of the representatives had individual B2Bs with companies in their field of expertise.
The delegation will also meet government bodies promoting the cluster concept in India.
