Léa & Léo crèches were started by two fathers in France who wished to find a solution to insufficient seats for little ones in existing day care facilities.
Gurugram, 14 May 2018
As part of a project to build and launch a network of private French-Indian crèche in India, Business France India organized two events in May. The first event was the laying of the foundation stone in Gurugram (Delhi NCR Region) on May 12th which was followed by a networking dinner at the Residence of France on 14th May 2018 to announce to the press and potential clients, the opening of the first international crèche in Gurugram, Léa & Léo crèches. Started in 2007, this crèche network prioritises children, their well-being, and their psychomotor, emotional and intellectual development. Each crèche is run by a team of professionals holding specialised degrees, who are involved in educational projects for children’s schools.
H.E. Mr Alexandre Ziegler, Ambassador of France to India, was present at both events and met the partners of the Léa & Léo daycare & crèche project, the Surpal family, the leading investor for the project in India, and Mr Paul Le Quernec, architect of this crèche building. Paul, who belongs to a promising young generation of French architects specializing in designing kindergartens in France, will recreate in Gurugram a school he originally designed in Paris. Taking into account air pollution, the crèche building in Gurugram will be fully equipped with air purifiers both indoors and outdoors, providing clean air to children. The opening of the first crèche will be followed by the establishment of a network of day care and kindergarten schools in Delhi, which will pave the way for its little scholars to enter the primary classes of Lycée Français International de Delhi.
The representatives from the French International School in Delhi, including its principal and AEFE have shown their unwavering support since the beginning of the project, ensuring future partnership with this new kindergarten. The Business France India communication team brought their KOLs and influencers from Delhi NCR region including the CEOs of French companies in India along with specialized media such as The Tribune and Business World. This event set a good example of the collaboration between the Invest and Communication teams.
Léa & Léo crèches were started by two fathers in France who wished to find a solution to insufficient seats for little ones in existing day care facilities. From opening their first crèche in Greater Caen, France, in 2007, they went on to become a household name across the country. Léa & Léo creates crèches for companies, municipalities, and various other setups, whether big or small. Their expertise in designing a building that must be infant- and child-friendly is reflected in their crèches. Their structures factor in the need to reconcile sustainable development and energy savings as well as contribute to the well-being and development of tiny tots.
