Launch of CITIIS (Cities Investment to Innovate, Integrate and Sustain) challenge by the GoI in New Delhi

New Delhi, 9 July 2018

This month marked the launch of a new CITIIS (Cities Investment to Innovate, Integrate and Sustain) challenge by the Government of India.

Supported by a loan from the French Development Agency (AFD), this challenge is a call to cities in India to pitch their ideas for sustainable mobility, urban governance and ICT, open public spaces as well as social and organizational innovation for low-income settlements.

The National Institute of Urban Affairs (NIUA) will be conducting the challenge and provide technical assistance to the Special Purpose Vehicles responsible for the implementation of the selected projects.

The CITIIS programme seeks to foster innovation, support sustainability and promote integration and participation. This ambitious 3-year project will further boost Indo-French cooperation on urban development.
