India - Jodhpur bus accident, 16 October 2013 [fr]

French Ambassador visits the injured of the Jodhpur bus accident and praises the dedication of Indian medical teams and security forces (New Delhi, 16 October 2013)

The Ambassador of France to India, H.E. Mr François Richier, paid a visit today to the ten victims of the bus crash which took place in Jodhpur on Monday 14th October, currently hospitalized in New Delhi. 38 French people were on a tour in Rajasthan when their bus met with an accident.

Ambassador Richier met the most critically injured patients at the Apollo Hospital of New Delhi where they are receiving extremely attentive care, along with their relatives. The circumstances of the accident and the next stages of their treatment and repatriation were discussed.

Ambassador Richier and the patients welcomed the remarkable dedication and efficiency of the Apollo Hospital medical team and expressed their warmest gratitude for their work. They also commended the professionalism and commitment of the Indian authorities and security forces which provided aid to the victims. Their morale is improving.
