Hill Spring International School of Bombay hosts its French correspondents for a week
Member of the Network of “Schools of Excellence” for French, Hill Spring International School in Mumbai, continues its annual exchange programme with three high schools in Morlaix (St Joseph, St Augustin, St Thégonnec).
In June 2019, 22 Grade 9 students from the school went to spend a week in Brittany with the families of their correspondents and it is now the turn of Hill Spring students and their families to welcome them. The French correspondents accompanied by 3 teachers (Mr. Régis Nenez, Ms. Marie Simon, Ms. Anne Marie Rouhou) arrived in Mumbai on January 11 and began to discover Mumbai and the Indian culture.
The visitors’ itinerary consists of various activities at school during the day: theater, classical Indian music, Bollywood dance, yoga and more, a visit to Masina Hospital for volunteer activities with cancer patients without forgetting a visit to Mani Bhavan, the house of Mahatma Gandhi!
The evenings are equally packed with cultural and social activities, including dance and music with participation in the Kite Festival to celebrate the Indian festival of Makar Sankranti. The youngsters will spend the weekend in a hotel complex in Panvel for outdoor activities. They will return to France on January 21 with, there is no doubt about it,lots of good memories!
