HEC India Alumni 3rd Annual Business Meet
H.E. Mr Alexandre Ziegler, Ambassador of France to India, was the Guest of Honour at the 3rd Annual Business Meet of HEC Paris India Alumni, which took place on Friday, 8th June 2018 at the auditorium of the Embassy of France in New Delhi.

HEC is a leading French Business School, which has been crowned as the best institution for pursuing a master’s degree in management studies. Over the last years, HEC has developed its partnerships with Indian institutions such as IIM Ahmedabad, Bangalore and Calcutta, ISB in Hyderabad and Ashoka University.
Commenting on the global presence of the institution, François Collin, Associate Dean of International Affairs at HEC Paris said, "Today, HEC Paris’ relationship with India is stronger than ever. Indian students represent the third largest nationality on campus, with almost 150 students currently studying at HEC Paris. Our constant efforts to build strong bilateral relationships with leading academic institutions around the world have allowed us to build great partnerships with some of the most renowned Indian schools such as IIM Ahmedabad, Ashoka University, Indian School of Business (Hyderabad) or IIM Bangalore. Finally, we would like to salute the great strength of our alumni community in India and its constant efforts to promote HEC’s core values across the country."
A panel discussion on “The Changing Face of the Indian Consumer: How Industries are adapting to it” was led by Mr Jean-Michel Casse, COO, AccorHotels, Mr Bharat Salhotra, VP-Sales and BD, APAC, Alstom Transport, Mr Anil Chaudhury, Country President, Schneider Electric India, Mr Stéphane Michelin, CEO, Sodexo Benefits and Rewards, Mr Samir Cairae, CEO, Vedanta (Metals). The session moderator, Mr Vikas Lakhani, is an HEC alumnus and Co-Founder, InstaOffice.
In partnership with the Indo-French Chamber of Commerce of India (IFCCI), the meet was organised by the HEC Paris India Alumni Group which is a 100+ strong network across New Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai and other cities of India. The Alumni in India is present in leading French, international and Indian corporations, professional services firms and financial institutions as well as in government agencies. The HEC India Alumni group is headed by Mr Sumeet Anand along with Mr Gaurav Bhosle, Head – Mumbai sub-group/Founder, ProLaunchPad and Mr Rajgopal Bhandary, Head – Bangalore sub-group/ CEO, Tropica Seeds.
The Embassy was delighted to participate in this event. Ambassador of France to India, H.E. Mr Alexandre Ziegler added, “I am pleased to welcome this event at the French Embassy as France is deeply committed to fostering closer Indo-French ties in higher education and business. A key aspect of a long-lasting relationship between France and India is the youth exchange. It is a clear priority set by President Macron during his State visit to India, last March: to substantially increase academic and student exchange programmes in order to reach 10,000 Indian students in France by 2020. We are developing the tools to reach this ambitious target, such as the Franco-Indian Education Trust or the Young Leaders’ programmes, to which I encourage all of you to contribute.”
