France was present at the « Make in Odisha Conclave 2018»
The Consul General of France in Kolkata, Mrs Virginie Corteval, and the Deputy head of Regional Economic Service, Mr Patrick Pillon, took part in the 2nd investors summit « Make in Odisha Conclave » held in Bhubaneshwar (11-15 November 2018).
More than 5000 participants took part in the Conclave, as well as 250 speakers, among which many captains of industry.
The French private sector was represented, especially by Schneider Electric.
On this occasion, Schneider Electric signed a MoU with the Government of Odisha on technical skills development which is at the heart of the Chief Minister’s strategy to make Bhubaneshwar a regional capital for skills development.
The MoU aims at developing technical skills and helping upgrade the Lab at Industrial Training Institute (ITI), Cuttack. The lab upgradation will help 441 electrician trade trainees of the institute.
The wider objective of the MoU with Schneider Electric is to collaborate and align the training infrastructure of government ITIs in Odisha for the electrical program with industry requirement and expose the trainees to latest technologies and relevant industrial best practices under its CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) interventions.
