France at the New Delhi World Book Fair 2015
The New Delhi World Book Fair (NDWBF), being held for the past 41 years, is a major event in the calendar of the publishing world. NDWBF 2015 will be held from 14 to 22 February 2015 at the centrally located Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.
The French Book Office of the Institut Français en Inde and the International Office for the Promotion of French Books (BIEF) will participate in NDWBF 2015, along with other French publishers from France.
Saturday, 14 February, 4.00 pm - Author’s Corner, Hall 8, panel discussion: “Get Caught Reading: For non-Adults Only?”
Manuel Carcassonne, CEO Editions Stock, will be a part of this 50-minute panel discussion with Renate Reichstein, Foreign Rights Director, Verlagsgruppe Oetinger; Judith Habermas, Foreign Rights, Dumont Verlag; and Peter Schoppert, NUS Singapore; Emma House, UKPA; moderated by Benny Kurian, Rights Translation and Acquisitions Officer, National Book Trust.
The discussion will look into public and private initiatives for promoting reading habits among adults and children worldwide as well as discuss measures that can be adopted to encourage reading.
Under the supervision of the French Book Office, a group of students from the French school Asfored, which offers Master degree courses in management for the publishing industry, will visit NDWBF on 20th February.
