Forum: French language in professional domains
The Institut français en Inde (Embassy of France in India) and Indo-French Chamber of Commerce & Industry (IFCCI), are pleased to host an international forum on French language in professional domains in India.
This forum comes in response to the increasing demand of Indian and French companies in India for employees with proficiency in French as well discussions in this regard with French language departments of various Indian universities.
Several Indian higher education institutions preparing future leaders for the Indian economic scene offer French language courses in addition to mainstream programs. Additionally, Indian universities and Alliance française institutes are developing French language courses catering to the professional needs of students enrolled for various specializations.
This forum will thus provide an overview of the latest happenings in this field by bringing together companies, universities and language training centres and gather their requirements, experience and feedback. This will help develop French language course content that is tailored to meet the needs of the corporate world.
We invite you to attend this forum and share your viewpoint in the various interesting roundtable discussions and presentations that will highlight the key issues.
The topics will range from the development of language skills in the HR policies of a company where companies in India share their experiences, the encounter of diverse cultures in the world of business, to the French language as part of technical or scientific higher education. The latter will involve testimonies of institutions preparing engineers, managers, scientists, etc. and offering them French language courses; the importance of French and other foreign languages in the training of engineers, scientists, managers, and more.
