First outing of the Consul General dedicated to Centum, Indian firm investing in France
The Consulate General of France has been implementing very strict rules to protect its staff and its premises from infection, given the current crisis. The rules are, however, regularly adapted to allow the team to keep working and collaborating with Indian partners.
On Monday, 4th January, the Consul General of France, Dr. Marjorie Vanbaelinghem visited the factories and office of Indian firm Centum Electronics. This was her first official outing ever since the pandemic broke out.
Centum Electronics Ltd. spearheaded by its Founder and Managing Director, Mr. Apparao Mallavarapu was established over 20 years back and is primarily into manufacturing of high-grade electronic equipments meant for the defence, aeronautics and telecommunication sectors. 85% of its turnover comes from exports to Europe, U.S.A. South Korea, Japan and Israel.
In July 2016, this Indian firm bought over 51% stake in the French company Adetel, thereafter increasing its share only to reassert its interest in investing in France and the excellent condition for business and investment.
Mr. Mallavarapu’s son Nikhil Mallavarapu happens to be an alumni of a French school of business, INSEAD, one of the world’s leading and largest graduate business schools.
Mr. Apparao Mallavarapu will also be taking part in the "Choose France" investors’ summit which is scheduled on January 25th. During this event, the French President will interact with many high-level foreign investors on the ease of doing business in France.
