Exceptional French participation at Aero India 2017

53 French companies participated in the AeroIndia air show, the largest delegation amongst all foreign countries present. The flagship defence and civilian aerospace majors were represented along with a large number of SMEs willing to make and innovate in India.

The 11th edtion of the aeronautics exhibition — Aero India 2017 — was inaugurated on Tuesday 14th February at the Yelahanka Airforce Station, Bangalore, with a fascinating aerial display.

Mr. Manohar Parrikar, the Indian Defence Minister, along with Mr. Gajapati Raju, the Indian Civil Aviation Minister, inaugurated the Aero India 2017 show, an event that has only grown in popularity and in strength with an impressive participation of 549 companies - 270 Indian firms and 279 foreign enterprises.

France, with 53 companies, is the biggest foreign delegation at this year’s event. The French Air France presents three Rafale aircrats. India, in September 2016, signed an agreement for acquiring 36 Rafale aircrafts for the Indian Air Force.
The Rafale demonstrations were very much applauded and appreciated by all those present.
