Ambassador of France to India, Emmanuel Lenain, and his Indian counterpart in France, Ambassador Jawed Ashraf will jointly launch E-mma’s #CodeAtHome initiative in India on International Women’s Day, 8th March.

Established in 2013, E-mma is a non-profit French organization founded by Epitech students, who promote gender diversity in the technological field. The organisation created the CodeAtHome global initiative to enable young children and teens to participate in free online coding workshops weekly.

This initiative joins the stream of many domestic programmes, including India’s highly innovative Atal Tinkering Labs set up in thousands of schools for underprivileged children, providing them a platform for a technology-enabled future.

After its successful launch in Europe, #CodeAtHome is coming to India to lead the youth towards a brighter future through the promotion of wider access to technology. #CodeAtHome is aimed at children aged 8 to 12 years, and teens aged 13 to 16 years.
