Embassy of France holds first NGOs-Corporate Houses networking forum, 26 March 2014

The Embassy of France in Delhi hosted the very first networking forum of NGOs and corporate houses, in partnership with Main Tendue and the Indo-French Chamber of Commerce and Industry on 26 March 2014.

With the participation of over 90 persons from various backgrounds (fundraising managers, CSR managers, programme officers) from 18 NGOs and 28 corporate houses, the event created a bridge between civil society and the private sector. The aim was to articulate the NGOs needs and find their corporate matches, in line with CSR activities as laid down in the Companies Act, 2013. Over one-to-one meetings, NGOs and corporate houses presented each other’s requirements in five areas: women’s empowerment, sustainable development, social inclusion, health, and child welfare.

Ambassador François Richier congratulated all the participants for their commitment and innovative actions to bringing better livelihood opportunities and greater inclusion in the Indian society.
