After the great success of the first edition “Cinema for Schools in Kolkata”, students have shown their interest in French Cinema and their strong will of learning more about French language and culture.

The French movie “Santa Claus” (in French “Le Père Noël”), directed by Alexandre Coffre in 2014, is a typical Christmas Film, that shows the magic of Christmas fairytale and the natural beauty of Paris during Christmas time.

All the students appreciated the Film and were also offered an ice-cream by Open Doors after the screening.

As this event is also part of a training program for French Teachers, a workshop “Learn French though Film” has been conducted by linguistic attachée, Magosha Fréquelin at Alliance française du Bengale, in order to promote innovative teachings methods and activities to learn French in schools.
