Celebrating the French Bastille Day in Kolkata, 13th July 2019
The Consul general of France in Kolkata was delighted to host the French National Day on Saturday 13th July 2019 at the Eiffel, The Novotel Kolkata Hotel And Residences.
The event was graced by Chief Guest Mr. Atri Bhattacharya, the Principal Secretary for Tourism, Government of West Bengal and his wife Mrs Mousumi Sengupta Bhattacharya.
The Bastille Day, as the occasion is marked, was celebrated this year along the theme of showcasing the art, natural beauty and cuisine of the region of #Provence, #France.
The event was given it’s exceptional touch with a live art studio performed by renowned artist Shri Shuvaprasanna Bhattacharya and his ArtsAcre - Museum & International Centre for Creativity team Mrs Madhubanti Banerjee and Mr Samir Ray, who brought to life, exquisite oil on canvases inspired by the timeless works by Painter #VanGogh capturing the French region.
To add to this touch, the Provençal cuisine was masterfully curated by the expert Chef Neelabh Sahay, who dished out these regional delicacies like beef daube, roast duck & bouillabaisse (Provençal fish Soup with Saffron Rouille) paired with some quality French wine.
