Ashoka University inks MoU with HEC Paris in the presence of H.E. Mr. Alexandre Ziegler, Ambassador of France to India.

Ashoka University today inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with premier international business school Hautes Etudes Commerciales de Paris (HEC Paris) in the presence of H.E. Mr. Alexandre Ziegler, Ambassador of France to India. The collaboration brings together one of the world’s leading European Business Institutes and India’s pioneering Liberal Arts university to promote cooperation on academic and research development between the two. As a part of the MoU, the two institutions will look at designing innovative academic programs and course curricula at Ashoka. The collaboration will explore opportunities such as allowing faculty and students to spend time with the partner university and create joint research programmes.
Lauding the promising Ashoka-HEC MoU, H.E. Mr. Alexandre Ziegler, Ambassador of France to India, said, “,“It is a matter of great pride for France to be among the top three most popular destinations worldwide for international students. We wish to welcome Indian students in greater numbers: our target is to welcome 10,000 of them by 2020. Partnerships between institutions of excellence from both countries, such as HEC Paris and Ashoka, will go a long way towards achieving this ambitious target and enhancing people-to-people contacts which are the very foundation of our relationship with India.”

What does the MoU entail?
- Creating innovative academic programs and course curricula at Ashoka
- Allowing and facilitating faculty members from each university to spend time (short term, semester, long-term, etc.) at the other university
- Creating joint research programmes between faculty of Ashoka and HEC Paris and professional development of Ashoka faculty that may include faculty exchanges
- Developing internal capacity for Study Abroad and exchange programmes for students from each university to study at the other university
