Ashim Ahluwalia’s Miss Lovely selected for Cannes 2012

Ashim Ahluwalia’s debut feature film Miss Lovely has been selected in competition of the “Un Certain Regard” section of the 65th Cannes Film Festival.

Miss Lovely is set in the Bombay from the mid-80s. It is the story of two brothers, Vicky and Sonu, who produce sleazy C grade films and end up falling for the same woman. The film stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Niharika Singh and Anil George.

The last Indian film to be screened in “Un Certain Regard” was Vikramaditya Motwane’s Udaan in 2010.
