Annual IFCCI Gala dinner at the Taj Mahal Palace in Mumbai [fr]
The Indo-French Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IFCCI), in partnership with Atout France, the France Tourism Development Agency, organized its second annual Gala dinner at the Taj Mahal Palace in Mumbai.
The soirée started with a networking cocktail in the ballroom and was followed with a sit down dinner, which assembled 270 distinguished guests, leaders of the Indo-French business community. The industry heads from French and Indian companies were also present, representing companies such as Areva Solar, DS Avocats, Hager, Pierre Fabre, Société Générale, Total Oil India, UGGC & Associés and Véolia Water. In addition there were leading diplomatists, personalities and other guests in the attendance.
Mrs. Laura Prasad, Secretary General of IFCCI and Ms. Catherine Oden, Director of Atout France, welcomed all participants and declared the Soirée open by raising a toast.
Mr. Sunand Sharma, IFCCI’s new elected President and Chairman of Alstom India Pvt. Ltd, gave the introductory speech.
The Soirée was graced by the Honorable Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Shri Prithviraj Chavan and by H.E. Mr. François Richier, the Ambassador of France to India, who both spoke about the strong ties that exist between France and India and the importance of taking the relationship between the two countries even further.

An Indo-French artistic performance, ‘From France to Bollywood: A Festive Show’, was especially put together for the occasion by the famous Indian choreographer Shiamak Dhavar and the French classical ensemble ARTIES. A lucky draw was also organised.
