The French Institute in India (IFI), the Cultural, Scientific and Educational Department of the Embassy, invited around 90 Indian alumni and professionals to this event, which aimed to provide an interactive platform for the alumni to meet and discuss their experiences, as well as learn about contemporary industry trends and developments by engaging in active dialogues.
HEC Paris, a leading French Business School, is one of the most prestigious and sought after institutions in Europe for pursuing a master’s degree in management studies. The HEC India Alumni is a vast and compact network, which has been steadily growing into a strongly-knit group of over 200 members with three chapters in New Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore. Effective from 2019, the Delhi Chapter of this expansive network will be taken over by Mr Ashish Manchanda from Mr Sumeet Anand, who has been the HEC India Alumni President for fifteeen years.
Welcoming the new leadership, Ambassador Alexandre Ziegler said, “I congratulate Mr Ashish Manchanda, Ms Tahseen Beg and Mr Avishek Sarkar for their new roles in the executive team of the Delhi Chapter of HEC Paris Alumni network. I also thank Mr Sumeet Anand whose efforts, as the President of this Alumni network, have brought us together, this evening. Our aim is to bolster the close ties between France and India in higher education by reaching 10,000 Indians studying in France by 2020. Indian students at HEC Paris have been at the forefront of our student mobility. I am pleased to find that our dynamic youth exchange programmes have helped the Indian students to be the successful professional and entrepreneur that they are today.”
HEC Alumni in India ranges from the class of 1982 to recent graduates. They work in leading French, Indian and international corporations, professional services firms and financial institutions in India.
