A French delegation to the 2019 Vibrant Gujarat Summit

H.E Mr Alexandre Ziegler, Ambassador of France to India, will lead a 78-member French delegation to the ninth edition of the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit on 18th January, 2019. As a Partner Country of the Summit and being amongst India’s leading foreign investors, France is committed to working with the Government of India and the Government of Gujarat. French companies are expected to sign 3 MoUs during the Vibrant Gujarat Summit.

The business delegation will include 34 French companies with expertise in the agri-food industry, aviation and logistics, banking and finance, chemicals, energy and power, infrastructure, IT & telecommunications, smart city and transportation solutions, and waste and water management.

The group of French delegates this year is a mix of companies with established footprint in Gujarat and those with advanced technical expertise keen to partner with Indian entities. All of them are committed to the “Make in India” initiative and are ready to support India’s progress towards sustainable growth by collaborating in areas such as energy, food processing, infrastructure, skill development, sustainable urban development and transportation.

France will have a pavilion at the Exhibition centre and hold a Country Seminar on 19th January at 9.30 AM, focusing on two key topics: Low-carbon development and Industry 4.0- automation, connected devices and their impact on sustainable development. 10 business leaders of French enterprises will discuss initiatives in optimizing agro-food processing for sustainable production and developments in digital technology and connected devices for cities and transportation in India.
