24 Hours Non-Stop Entrepreneurship Challenge at IISER, Pune

Pune saw the launch of 24 Hours Non-Stop Entrepreneurship Challenge at IISER on 1st December.

A flagship initiative launched in France in 2011 by Novancia Business School Paris and the French National Association for Research and Technologie (ANRT) has proved successful in fostering the entrepreneurial skills of PhD students.

This contest placed research students in the challenging situation of having to come up with a start-up concept in less than 24 hours. 56 participants were selected among more than 100 high-quality applications coming from 35 research centres and higher education institutions all over India. They were divided into 8 teams of 7 members, and met each other at IISER Pune just a few hours before the start of the competition.

The project aims to strongly promote awareness of students on entrepreneurship by placing them in an entrepreneurial situation for a straight 24 hours period without sleep.

This event took place in India, under the umbrella of Bonjour India, organized by Institut Français India with the involvement of Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Pune which hosted the event.
