101 Indian Students received their diploma in French language, 9 May 2014
The DELF Junior is an official diploma in French language studies from France’s National Ministry of Education, similar to the TOEFL certification or the Cambridge First Certificate available for English language learners. It is valid for life, awarded and recognized around the world.
The DELF certification is an opportunity that opens up access to higher education at the undergraduate level in world class French universities for those students who wish to opt to study in France. France offers many programmes taught entirely in English.
The Embassy of France in India, in collaboration with the Delhi Public School Society, has launched a DELF Junior Examination Centre at Delhi Public School Mathura Road for all the schools in the DPS network in Delhi NCR. In December last year, for the first time ever, the test was taken in an Indian school, DPS Mathura Road, giving secondary school students easier access to this internationally recognized certification. 101 students of French appeared for the test and all of them passed the same with flying colours.
